As UX Lead, I drove the end-to-end design of Elektra's first mobile app — turning a clear insight (87% of traffic was mobile, yet there was no dedicated app) into a strategic new sales channel for one of Mexico's largest retailers. Grounded in research, personas, pain points, and the purchase-and-delivery flow. I shaped a principle led experience and a 5 pillar product strategy (personalization, Elektra credit, notifications, variety, and loyalty). Partnering with UI designers and business stakeholders, creating a mobile shopping experience.
of users were accessing from mobile devices, yet the experience was limited to a web e-commerce, with no dedicated app, usability issues, and a negative perception of the brand's digital experience — creating friction across the entire user journey.

María uses her phone for almost everything: social media, payments, and shopping. She has known Elektra for years from shopping in-store, but her digital experience has been inconsistent and frustrating.
